Three Arrested in Major Drug Bust at Gainesville Apartment
Three individuals remain in the Hall County Jail following a drug raid at the Town Creek Apartment Homes on Washington Street in Gainesville on Tuesday morning, January 14, 2024. Investigators from the Hall County Sheriff’s Office (HCSO) Special Investigations Unit (SIU) executed a search warrant around 7:30 a.m., leading to the arrest of Jytavious Darquale Collins, 35, Joshua Montavious Collins, 36, both of Gainesville, and Sheila Dianne Pressley, 33, of Cornelia.
The raid followed a months-long investigation, which culminated in a successful operation by the HCSO Special Weapons and Tactics (SWAT) team. Upon breaching the apartment’s front door, investigators seized a large quantity of illegal drugs, including 76 ounces of cocaine, 75 grams of MDMA, 22 grams of fentanyl, over four pounds of processed marijuana, four bottles of promethazine codeine, and five alprazolam tablets. The street value of the seized drugs is estimated at $39,950.
Additionally, investigators confiscated $857 in cash, a 9mm Glock 43 firearm, and two vehicles belonging to the suspects. Sheriff Gerald Couch praised the operation, stating, “Our SIU team members worked diligently to formulate a plan to take these suspects into custody and get these dangerous drugs off the streets. On Tuesday, they executed that plan seamlessly.”
All three suspects are being held without bond. The charges include felony drug possession, trafficking, and firearm violations for Jytavious and Joshua Collins. Pressley faces similar charges related to cocaine and marijuana.
The Banks County Sheriff’s Office assisted with the operation.
