11-Year-Old Arrested For School Threat at Calvary Christian School in Columbus

On January 9, 2025, at approximately 8:03 p.m., Columbus Police Officers responded to a report of a school threat at Calvary Christian School. The investigation began when a student at the school received a text message referencing a potential threat. The student immediately informed their parent, who contacted school officials, prompting police involvement.
The following days saw a focused investigation, and by January 13, 2025, police identified an 11-year-old suspect in connection with the threat. The suspect admitted to sending the message, though no motive was provided. The juvenile was taken into custody and transported to the Terrell County Regional Youth Detention Center.
