Atlanta Police Arrest Four Suspects in Five Days for Burglary Crimes

Four individuals were apprehended within five days by the Atlanta Police Department in connection with three separate burglary incidents that occurred in December 2024.

Burglary #1: On December 18, 2024, at approximately 4:12 AM, officers responded to a residential burglary at 325 Centennial Olympic Park Drive NW. The 911 caller reported witnessing two males breaking into an apartment before fleeing the scene. Officers located the burglary tools, including a chair and a metal bar, but the suspects had already fled. After a thorough search, a Georgia World Congress Center Police Officer found one of the suspects. Shortly after, the second suspect was located. The suspects were identified as Dante Long and Lazavia Howard.

Burglary #2: On December 22, 2024, at approximately 12:30 AM, officers responded to a business burglary at 500 Amsterdam Avenue NE. The 911 caller flagged down officers and reported the suspect was behind the building. When officers reached the rear of the building, they discovered the suspect, who had locked himself into a gated area. After officers extricated the suspect, he was identified as Jared Oliver.

Burglary #3: On December 22, 2024, at approximately 4:47 PM, officers responded to a residential burglary at 201 16th Street NW. The 911 caller informed officers that the suspect had broken into his home and was still on the premises. The suspect, later identified as Zachery Williams, was apprehended after attempting to flee while officers were speaking with the caller. Surveillance footage confirmed the suspect’s involvement in the break-in.

All four suspects were arrested without incident, and their charges are under investigation.
