Traffic Stop Leads to Arrest of Homicide Suspect and Two Others in Atlanta
On December 26, 2024, Atlanta Police Department A.C.E. Units, along with the Fugitive Unit, conducted a traffic stop near Peyton Road and Martin Luther King Jr. Drive SW for traffic violations.
Officers had received information that the passenger in the vehicle might have an active warrant for homicide. Upon stopping the vehicle, officers detained the driver and both passengers for investigation.
The front passenger was identified as 31-year-old Felix Adams, wanted in connection with a homicide that occurred on October 4, 2024, at 1040 Huff Road. Adams was arrested and charged with Homicide, Aggravated Assault, and two counts of Possession of a Firearm by a Convicted Felon.
The driver, 29-year-old Adoffee Williams, was arrested and charged with Failure to Obey a Stop Sign, Possession of a Firearm by a Convicted Felon, and Possession of Marijuana. Williams also had an outstanding warrant for Failure to Appear on a cocaine possession charge.
The rear passenger, 27-year-old Gortez Goolsby, was arrested and charged with Possession of Marijuana and Weapons Violations by a Convicted Felon.
All three suspects were transported to the Fulton County Jail. The investigation remains ongoing.
