Columbus Officer Rescues Three from Burning Apartment in Dramatic Body Cam Footage

The Columbus Police Department has released dramatic body cam footage showcasing the heroic actions of Officer T. Millheiser.

On Saturday, December 7, 2024, Officer Millheiser was the first to arrive at a burning apartment complex on Ticknor Drive. Flames were engulfing the unit below where three people, including an elderly woman, were trapped. Without hesitation, Officer Millheiser rushed inside, rescuing the elderly woman and carrying her to safety. Two additional officers arrived moments later to assist, ensuring all three individuals were rescued.

The department has shared the body cam footage to highlight the officer’s bravery and quick thinking during the life-threatening situation.
