BP Gas Station Destroyed in Early Morning Fire in Taliaferro County
On December 26, 2024, at approximately 3:01 a.m., the Taliaferro County Fire Department and Taliaferro County Sheriff’s Office responded to a commercial structure fire at the BP gas station located near I-20 and Highway 22.
Upon arrival, first responders found the building fully engulfed in flames. Mutual aid was requested from Greene County to assist in extinguishing the fire.
No injuries were reported, but the building was declared a total loss. The cause of the fire remains under investigation.
