Gwinnett Police Investigate Fatal Shooting of Woman in Norcross Home

The Gwinnett County Police Department is investigating the shooting death of a Hispanic woman in her 30s at a home on Creeldale Drive in unincorporated Norcross.

Shortly after 7:00 p.m. on December 22, 2024, officers from the West Precinct responded to a “person shot” call. The 911 operator, with assistance from a language interpretation service, learned that the victim had suffered a gunshot wound.

Officers and Gwinnett County Fire Department personnel arrived at the scene and determined the woman was deceased. The home was secured, and the Homicide and Crime Scene Units were called to the location.

Detectives are interviewing witnesses who were present during the incident. No charges have been filed against the shooter at this time. The victim, who lived at the residence, has not yet been publicly identified pending notification of her next of kin.

The Gwinnett County Medical Examiner’s Office will work with investigators to determine the official cause and manner of death.
