Driver Arrested After Attempt to Evade in Stolen Ford Mustang in Macon
A Bibb County Sheriff’s Office S.R.T. Unit deputy observed a yellow Ford Mustang on Mumford Road at Hollingsworth Road in Macon and attempted to initiate a traffic stop. The driver of the Mustang, in an apparent effort to evade, quickly turned onto another road, parked the vehicle in a driveway, and walked away as if nothing had occurred.
The deputy located the driver shortly thereafter, and further investigation revealed that the Mustang had been reported stolen.
The driver was taken into custody and transported to the Bibb County Sheriff’s Office Law Enforcement Center.
