Acworth Man Found Shot Dead on Moon Station Road in Kennesaw; Suspect Arrested
In the early hours of Thursday, November 28, 2024, Kennesaw Police officers responded to a report of a man lying in the roadway near Moon Station Road and Bayswater Drive. Upon arrival, officers discovered 35-year-old Casey Plumb of Acworth, Georgia, deceased from apparent gunshot wounds.
Through the use of technology and witness statements, detectives identified and apprehended 34-year-old Dain Mark Ryner of Powder Springs, Georgia, two days later on November 30, 2024. Ryner is being held without bond at the Cobb County Adult Detention Center under warrant #24-W-11201.
Ryner faces the following charges:
- Felony Murder: OCGA 16-5-1
- Possession of a Firearm During the Commission of a Crime: OCGA 16-11-106(b)(1)
- Aggravated Assault: OCGA 16-5-21
The Kennesaw Police Department expressed gratitude to the Cobb County Police Department and Paulding County Sheriff’s Office for their assistance in the investigation.
