18-Year-Old Woman Shot in Florida Heights, Investigation Underway

On December 2, 2024, at approximately 11:25 a.m., Atlanta Police Zone 4 officers responded to a report of a person shot at 315 Addington St. SW, in the Florida Heights area.

Upon arrival, officers found an 18-year-old female victim who had sustained a gunshot wound. The victim, in stable condition, was transported to the hospital by ambulance.

Preliminary investigation suggests the shooting may have occurred near 278 Florida Ave. SW. However, the victim was unable to provide officers with any details regarding how the injury occurred.

Investigators from the Aggravated Assault Unit have since taken over the case to determine the circumstances surrounding the shooting. The investigation is ongoing.
