18-Year-Old Killed, Another Critically Injured in Columbus Shooting
On Wednesday, November 27, 2024, at approximately 12:35 a.m., Columbus Police officers responded to a reported shooting in the 8300 block of Canaan Drive. Upon arrival, officers located two male victims with gunshot wounds.
EMS determined that one of the victims, identified as 18-year-old J’Mauri Taylor, was deceased. Deputy Coroner Ben Saxon pronounced Taylor dead at the scene at 1:38 a.m. The second male victim was transported to Piedmont Columbus Regional Hospital in critical condition.
