Alonzo Duncan

Glynn County Police Department (GCPD) officers arrested Alonzo Duncan on Sunday after a brief foot pursuit. Duncan, who had multiple outstanding warrants in Glynn County, Brunswick, and several jurisdictions in Florida, was taken into custody after being subdued with a Taser.

The arrest followed an anonymous tip reporting Duncan’s presence at a residence on Townsend Street. When officers arrived, they questioned Duncan, who provided a false name before fleeing on foot. Officers pursued him and ultimately deployed a Taser to subdue and apprehend him.

A search of Duncan revealed a stolen Glock handgun. He now faces multiple charges, including Felon in Possession of a Firearm, Receiving Stolen Property, and two probation violations.

GCPD has stated the investigation remains ongoing. Anyone with information related to this case is encouraged to contact the Glynn County Police Department Non-Emergency line at (912) 554-3645 or submit tips anonymously through Silent Witness at (912) 264-1333.
