Seven Arrested, Guns and Drugs Seized in Glynn County Joint Operation
A collaborative operation involving the Glynn County Police Department’s Major Crimes Unit and K9 Unit, alongside the Georgia Department of Community Supervision, led to the arrests of seven individuals and the confiscation of firearms and drugs on the morning of November 21, 2024.
The following individuals were taken into custody:
- Caleb Pensyl: Charged with Violation of Probation and Failure to Appear (Felony).
- Amanda Vermeulen: Charged with Violation of Probation, Possession of Schedule II (Methamphetamine), and Possession of Drug-Related Objects.
- Detrick Edwards: Charged with Failure to Appear and Possession of Schedule II (Cocaine).
- Carl Crews: Charged with Violation of Probation and Failure to Appear (Felony).
- Anthony Lewis: Charged with Possession of Firearm by Convicted Felon and Possession of Marijuana Over an Ounce.
- Justin Smith: Charged with Violation of Probation (Felony).
- Lafon Ferguson: Charged with Possession of Firearm by Convicted Felon, Possession of Firearm During the Commission of a Crime, and Possession of Marijuana with Intent to Distribute.
Confiscated Contraband:
- Firearms: 3
- Marijuana: 369.72 grams
- Cocaine: 5.5 grams
- Methamphetamine: 1.34 grams
