Man Arrested for Triple Murder, Including Parents and Son, in Chatham County

A man has been arrested and charged with three counts of murder following a fatal shooting at a residence on Quacco Trail this morning.

Junior Thomas Babcock, 42, is accused of killing his parents and his 14-year-old son at their home in the 200 block of Quacco Trail in Savannah. Chatham County Police officers responded to the scene at approximately 9:00 a.m. and discovered three victims inside the residence, all deceased from apparent gunshot wounds.

Chatham County Police detectives quickly began investigating and took Babcock into custody shortly after arriving at the scene. He remains in custody and will be transported to the Chatham County Detention Center later today.

The investigation is ongoing, but authorities do not expect any additional arrests in connection with this case. The Chatham County Police Department has stated that no further comments will be made at this time.
