Man Shot During Dispute Outside Midtown Atlanta Gas Station

Atlanta Police are investigating an early morning shooting on Tuesday, November 19, 2024, that left a man hospitalized.

Officers were dispatched to 180 Ponce De Leon Ave NE around 3:38 a.m. in response to reports of a person shot. Upon arrival, they found a male victim with a gunshot wound to the chest. He was transported by Grady EMS to a hospital for treatment.

According to the initial investigation, the altercation began as a physical dispute between the victim and two female suspects inside a Chevron gas station. The confrontation continued outside, where one of the suspects allegedly shot the victim.

Both women fled the scene in a vehicle, reportedly firing additional shots toward the victim as they drove away.

Authorities are working to identify the suspects and uncover more details about the circumstances surrounding the incident. The investigation is ongoing.
