Teen Stabbed During Domestic Dispute in Atlanta’s Joyland Area
Atlanta Police responded to a stabbing incident on November 17, 2024, at approximately 3:04 PM, at 1656 Thornton Place SW in the Joyland area. Upon arrival, officers found a 14-year-old male with an apparent stab wound to his back. The victim, who was alert and conscious, was transported to the hospital for medical treatment.
Preliminary investigations suggest the stabbing stemmed from a verbal dispute between the victim and a relative, which escalated to violence. A male suspect was detained at the scene, and investigators from the Domestic Violence Unit have taken over the case. The investigation is ongoing.
