Armed Robbery at Dollar General in Macon Leads to Stolen Vehicle and Suspects on the Run

On Saturday, November 9th, 2024, Jones County deputies responded to a report of an armed robbery at the Dollar General located at 2480 Shurling Drive in Macon. The female victim reported that two men approached her in the parking lot while she was loading her purchases into her car. One of the suspects pointed a handgun at her and threatened to shoot her. The suspects then stole the victim’s vehicle, a 2007 Honda Accord LX, gold in color, and fled the scene.

The suspects are described as two black males: one wearing a white t-shirt and black pants, the other in a red hoodie and black pants. The stolen vehicle bears Georgia license plate PTE1677 and was driven into Bibb County.

Authorities are asking anyone with information regarding the identity of the suspects or the location of the stolen vehicle to contact the Jones County Sheriff’s Office at 478-986-3489. Tips may also be submitted anonymously through the department’s app or website.
