Newton County Man Hospitalized After Being Shot While Parked in Car Outside Home
On Tuesday, November 12, at around 3 a.m., 23-year-old Javoni Henry of Covington was sitting in his parked vehicle at his residence on Belmont Trail when he was struck by multiple gunshots. Newton County Sheriff’s Office deputies responded to the scene, where they provided life-saving aid before Henry was transported to a local hospital. He is currently in stable condition.
Preliminary findings suggest this was an isolated incident, and authorities do not believe there is a risk to the wider community.
