Forsyth Deputies End High-Speed Chase, Arrest Driver on DUI and Fleeing Charges

A high-speed chase through Forsyth County ended earlier this week after a Forsyth County Sheriff’s Office Sergeant observed a driver repeatedly swerving within his lane. The Sergeant attempted a traffic stop, but the driver refused to pull over, initiating a pursuit.

Two nearby H.E.A.T. (Highway Enforcement of Aggressive Traffic) deputies quickly joined the chase. The deputies observed the driver, later identified as 36-year-old Hector Robledo from Sugar Hill, Georgia, crossing into oncoming lanes. One of the deputies executed a Precision Immobilization Technique (PIT) maneuver, successfully bringing the vehicle to a stop.

After initially refusing commands and attempting to walk away, Robledo was detained and charged with DUI, reckless driving, possession of an open alcohol container, failure to maintain lane, and felony fleeing.
