Decatur Police Investigate Shooting and Drive-By Incident at Oakview Road Apartments
On Tuesday, November 5, 2024, Decatur Police responded to a shooting at an apartment complex in the 1300 block of Oakview Road at approximately 11:50 a.m. Officers found an adult male in the parking lot suffering from a gunshot wound. The victim, who was alert and conscious, was quickly transported to a local hospital for treatment.
Later that same day, at 11:00 p.m., police received another call regarding shots fired within the same apartment complex. Investigators determined that an unknown individual or individuals fired shots into two separate apartment units. Fortunately, no one was injured in this incident.
