Athens Man Arrested for Murder Following Fatal Shooting of Female Victim

On November 5, 2024, at approximately 4:20 PM, Athens-Clarke County Police responded to a report of a possible deceased individual in an apartment located in the 100 block of Royale Road. Upon arrival, officers found a deceased female, whose identity is being withheld pending notification of next of kin. Preliminary investigations revealed the woman had suffered an apparent gunshot wound.

Following the investigation, officers located and arrested 27-year-old Kendall Boone of Athens at the 300 block of Jennings Mill Parkway. Boone has been charged with Malice Murder, Felony Murder, Aggravated Assault, and Possession of a Firearm/Knife During the Commission of a Crime.
