Suspect Arrested Following Early Morning Shooting Near Johnson Square in Savannah

Savannah Police Officers arrested 27-year-old Jason Hazel in connection with a shooting that occurred on November 3, leaving three individuals with non-life-threatening gunshot wounds. Officers responded to reports of gunfire at Johnson Square around 1:20 a.m. and discovered Hazel injured at the scene. He received medical assistance and was transported to Memorial Health University Medical Center for treatment.

Shortly after, two adult males arrived at the same hospital, both suffering from gunshot wounds linked to the incident. Hazel has been charged with two counts of aggravated assault, possession of a firearm during the commission of a felony, possession of a firearm by a convicted felon, and theft by receiving a stolen firearm.
