Atlanta Police Arrest 17-Year-Old in Connection to 2023 Fatal Shooting on Spring Street

On October 30, 2024, Atlanta Police took a 17-year-old male into custody for his alleged involvement in an August 28, 2023, homicide at 725 Spring Street NW. The juvenile, whose identity remains undisclosed due to his age at the time of the incident, faces multiple charges, including Murder, Aggravated Assault, Possession of a Firearm During the Commission of a Felony, and Possession of a Firearm by a Person Under 18.

The incident occurred on August 28, 2023, at approximately 2:05 a.m. Officers responded to a report of a shooting and discovered a 33-year-old male with a gunshot wound to the neck. The victim, who was unresponsive, was pronounced dead on the scene by medical personnel. The suspect fled before officers arrived.

In a related development, 18-year-old Marion’Taye Holloman was apprehended by Atlanta Police APEX Unit officers on November 25, 2023. Holloman also faces charges of Murder, Aggravated Assault, Possession of a Firearm by a Person Under 18, and Possession of a Firearm During the Commission of a Felony. Both suspects are now in custody as the investigation continues.
