Jones County Hosts Annual Salute to Georgia Sheriffs Luncheon

On Thursday, October 17, 2024, the Jones County Sheriff’s Office proudly hosted the annual Salute to Georgia Sheriffs luncheon, an event dedicated to honoring the Office of Sheriff and recognizing the Sheriff of the Year. This year, the Georgia Sheriffs’ Association awarded the title to Sheriff Ron Freeman of Forsyth County.

The event saw the attendance of Lieutenant Governor Burt Jones, several elected representatives, judges, and numerous sheriffs and law enforcement officials from across the state.

During the luncheon, the Salute to Georgia Sheriffs foundation made a significant donation to the Concerns of Police Survivors, an organization dedicated to providing resources and support for the families of officers killed in the line of duty.
