Firefighters Battle House Fire in Snellville, Second Floor Collapses

On Tuesday night, October 15, Gwinnett County Fire crews responded to a house fire in the 3900 block of Laurel Brook Way in Snellville. A neighbor noticed the blaze and called 911. Firefighters arrived at 10:50 p.m. and found the first and second floors of the home engulfed in flames.

A partial collapse of the second floor posed challenges for the firefighters as they worked to contain the fire. Fortunately, the residents were not home when the fire began and were unharmed. They have been connected with the American Red Cross for assistance.

One firefighter sustained minor injuries, received treatment from medical crews at the scene, and was released. The cause of the fire remains undetermined.
