Lagrange Police Lieutenant Arrested for Theft and Exploitation of Elderly Citizen

The Georgia Bureau of Investigation (GBI) has arrested and charged a lieutenant from the Lagrange Police Department with multiple offenses, including theft by taking, theft by conversion, and exploitation of an elderly person over the age of 65.

Lieutenant Joshua Clower, 43, of Lagrange, was taken into custody following an investigation that began on June 25, 2024, when the Lagrange Police Department requested the GBI to look into allegations of theft against him.

The investigation revealed that Clower had stolen over $7,000 from the checking account of an elderly citizen, using the funds for his personal benefit.

Clower is currently being held at the Troup County Jail in Lagrange.
