Traffic Stop Leads to Arrest of Wanted Man with Stolen Handgun in Bibb County

A Bibb County Sheriff’s Office Special Response Team (S.R.T.) unit assisted the Georgia State Patrol in a traffic stop on Eisenhower Parkway on October 11, 2024. The stop was initiated after a trooper observed a 25-year-old driver running a red light and not wearing a seatbelt.

Upon pulling over the vehicle, the trooper discovered that the driver was wanted in Houston County on an outstanding warrant. Additionally, a search revealed that the driver was in possession of a stolen handgun.

The suspect was taken into custody without incident and transported to the Bibb County Sheriff’s Office Law Enforcement Center for processing. Authorities continue to investigate the circumstances surrounding the stolen firearm.
