Macon-Bibb County Opens Two Evacuation Centers for Hurricane Milton Evacuees

Macon-Bibb County, in collaboration with the Georgia Emergency Management and Homeland Security Agency and the American Red Cross, has opened two evacuation centers to provide shelter for individuals displaced by Hurricane Milton.

The South Bibb Recreation Center, located at 7035 Houston Road, and the Delores A. Brooks Recreation Center, located at 3326 Ocmulgee East Blvd, opened their doors to evacuees at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday, August 8. These centers offer a safe space for those fleeing the storm.
