67-Year-Old Ohio Man Charged with Voluntary Manslaughter in Daughter’s Death in Georgia
The Georgia Bureau of Investigation (GBI) has arrested and charged 67-year-old Herman Sewell of Cleveland, OH, with voluntary manslaughter in connection with the death of 26-year-old Allegra Sewell, also of Cleveland. The Pulaski County Sheriff’s Office requested the GBI to conduct an investigation into the incident.
On Thursday, October 3, 2024, at approximately 5:15 a.m., deputies from the Pulaski County Sheriff’s Office responded to a home on Ruby Road in Hawkinsville, GA, following reports of an unresponsive woman. Upon arrival, deputies found Allegra Sewell lying unresponsive in front of the residence, with Herman Sewell identified at the scene.
Preliminary investigations revealed that an argument between Allegra and Herman escalated into a physical altercation, during which Allegra became unresponsive. She was transported to a local hospital, where she was later pronounced dead.
The investigation remains active and ongoing.
