Bibb County Deputies Investigating Fatal Shooting on Wallace Road, One Dead, One Injured

The Bibb County Sheriff’s Office is investigating a fatal shooting that occurred Monday evening near the intersection of Wallace Road and Johnson Road. The incident was reported to the Macon-Bibb Emergency-911 Center at 7:17 p.m.

Deputies arrived at the scene to find two victims suffering from gunshot wounds. Twenty-three-year-old Dontavious Ryshaun Holsey of Milledgeville was discovered unresponsive. A second victim, a 17-year-old male, was also wounded. Paramedics transported both victims to a medical facility, but Holsey succumbed to his injuries. Deputy Coroner Richard Robinson confirmed that Holsey’s next of kin has been notified. The 17-year-old is currently listed in stable condition.
