Suspect Arrested After Attempting to Set Vehicle Ablaze with Two Children Inside

Bibb County Sheriff’s Office deputies, in coordination with the Warner Robins Police Department, arrested a suspect following a dramatic incident involving an attempted vehicle fire on North Houston Road. The suspect, identified as 51-year-old Napoleon Gray, allegedly tried to ignite a vehicle with two juvenile victims, aged 10 and 1, inside.

According to a news release from the Warner Robins Police Department, officers responded to a call at 1:00 PM on September 27th at 729 N. Houston Road. Upon arrival, Gray entered his vehicle, prompting officers to initiate a traffic stop. Gray fled the scene, leading to a vehicle pursuit that traveled through N. Houston Road, Story Road, and Highway 247 into Macon-Bibb County.

The pursuit concluded in the parking lot of the Bibb County Law Enforcement Center, where Gray was taken into custody without incident. He is facing multiple charges, including Aggravated Assault for the initial incident and Arson related to the attempted vehicle fire.
