Armed Macon Man Arrested After Barricading Himself in Storage Trailer
Bibb County Sheriff’s Office deputies arrested a 49-year-old man who barricaded himself inside a storage trailer on the 4000 block of Broadway after threatening law enforcement.
The incident began at 9:26 a.m. on Wednesday when deputies responded to a trespassing call at a commercial business. Upon arrival, the suspect, identified as Christopher Todd Barrow of Macon, immediately locked himself inside a trailer and threatened to shoot deputies if they attempted entry.
Bibb County SWAT, K-9 Interdiction, Hostage Negotiators, and Investigators responded to the scene. Barrow, who had an outstanding warrant from Toombs County, was confirmed to be alone inside the trailer with no hostages. SWAT members successfully extracted him from the barricaded area, and a firearm was recovered.
Barrow was treated for a minor injury by paramedics before being transported to the Bibb County Law Enforcement Center. He is charged with Terroristic Threats and Acts, with additional charges pending.
