GBI Requests Public Help in Cold Case of Angela McCarty, Missing Since 2009
The Georgia Bureau of Investigation (GBI) is seeking information in the ongoing murder investigation of Angela Dawn McCarty, who was last seen alive on September 23, 2009, in Waycross, GA. McCarty’s family reported her missing shortly after her disappearance, but her fate remained unknown until her remains were discovered on July 30, 2013, in a wooded area near Highway 110 in Brantley County, GA.
At the time of her disappearance, McCarty was wearing a white t-shirt, white capris, and white tennis shoes, and was last seen walking near Nunn Street in Waycross. She is survived by a son and other family members who are seeking answers regarding her tragic case.
