White County Fire Service Division Chief Retires After Seven Years of Service

White County Fire Service’s Division Chief Michael LeFevre was honored at a retirement reception yesterday at the White County Emergency Operations Center. The event was attended by friends, family, county officials, and fellow firefighters to recognize Chief LeFevre’s seven years with the White County Fire Service, including his two years as Fire Chief.

White County Public Safety Director David Murphy praised Chief LeFevre’s leadership and contributions. “Mike has done a great job, and under his leadership, we’ve seen significant accomplishments, including the long-awaited Public Safety Training Center that will benefit our community for years to come,” Murphy said. “Mike has always exemplified the qualities of a leader, handling even the most challenging situations with class and dedication.”

Chief LeFevre expressed his gratitude for his time in White County. “I am proud of what we’ve achieved together and grateful to have ended my 25-year career right here in White County,” LeFevre said. “This community has been incredibly supportive, and it’s been an honor to serve.”

Chief LeFevre’s official last day of service is today, August 23, 2024. His dedication has set a high standard for his successors. The White County Fire Service and the community extend their best wishes as he begins this new chapter.
