Pedestrian Accident in Macon Claims Life of New York Woman on Rocky Creek Road

The Bibb County Sheriff’s Office is investigating a pedestrian accident that occurred near the intersection of Rocky Creek Road and Thrasher Circle. The incident took place around 11:00 p.m. on Friday.

According to witness statements, a driver of a Honda Accord was traveling west on Rocky Creek Road when they suddenly saw a female pedestrian in the roadway. The driver attempted to avoid a collision but was unsuccessful.

The pedestrian, identified as 44-year-old Cameron Rodriguez from New York, was transported to Atrium Health Navicent by ambulance. Investigators later confirmed that Rodriguez succumbed to her injuries. Coroner Ronnie Miley stated that the next of kin has been notified.

The female driver of the Honda Accord was not injured in the accident.
