Atlanta Dentist Indicted for Georgia Medicaid Fraud
Attorney General Chris Carr announced on August 15th that Farid Moghaddam, 48, of Atlanta, has been indicted in Forsyth County on four counts of felony Medicaid Fraud and 11 counts of felony False Writings.
Moghaddam, owner and sole provider of North Cumming Dentistry, LLC which was located at 2376 Bethelview Rd in Cumming, is accused of submitting fraudulent claims for services he did not provide and retaining payments for those claims. The total amount billed and paid between 2016 and 2022 is $39,563.91.
The Attorney General’s Medicaid Fraud Division presented evidence to a Forsyth County Grand Jury, leading to Moghaddam’s indictment in July 2024.
