Macon-Bibb County Selects Contractor for Rosa Parks Square Revamp

On Tuesday, August 6, the Macon-Bibb County Commission unanimously approved a contract with Stafford Builders & Consultants, Inc. to manage the Rosa Parks Square project.

Macon-Bibb County will enter into a construction agreement with the firm, which was selected from 92 vendors who submitted proposals in response to a Request for Proposal (RFP) posted by the Procurement Department. Stafford Builders & Consultants, Inc., a local African American-owned business, was chosen for their lowest and most responsive bid.

The project will feature a memorial wall, additional trees, a stage, picnic tables, and benches. Andrea Cooke, Chair of the Friends of Rosa Parks Square Board, expressed enthusiasm about the progress and the involvement of Stafford Builders & Consultants, Inc.
