Suspect Arrested on Multiple Warrants in Connection with April 2024 Fatal Shooting
On August 5, 2024, Atlanta Police were notified by Georgia State Patrol that 23-year-old Jaylen Patterson had been taken into custody. Patterson had outstanding warrants from Atlanta Police for charges including Murder, two counts of Aggravated Assault, and Possession of a Firearm During the Commission of a Felony.
The arrest and charges are related to an incident on April 19, 2024. At approximately 8:26 p.m., Atlanta Police Zone 4 officers responded to a report of a shooting at 3030 Continental Colony Pkwy. SW in the Greenbriar area. Upon arrival, officers found a 31-year-old male victim with a gunshot wound who was pronounced dead at the scene by medical personnel. A second adult male victim, also shot multiple times, was transported to the hospital in critical condition.
UPDATE: On August 9, 2024, 23-year-old Dentavius Roberson surrendered himself to Atlanta Police. Mr. Roberson had outstanding Atlanta Police warrants for Murder, two counts of Aggravated Assault, and Possession of a Firearm During the Commission of a Felony.
