Firstly, it’s essential to avoid cutting in front of trucks or buses. Due to their substantial size and weight, a fully loaded truck may require up to 400 feet to come to a complete stop. This considerable stopping distance necessitates that drivers exercise patience and refrain from abrupt maneuvers.
Furthermore, maintaining a safe distance when driving near semi-trucks or buses is crucial. Experts recommend keeping a distance of at least ten car lengths ahead and maintaining an even greater distance of 20 to 25 car lengths behind these large vehicles.
