Teen Arrested for Kidnapping and Sexually Assaulting a Minor
On July 8th, 2024, at approximately 4:54 AM, Athens-Clarke County Police responded to the 200
block of Highland Park Dr regarding a minor being kidnapped. During the investigation, officers
located the suspect vehicle on Westchester Drive after a series of hit-and-run accidents. The
minor was located and transported to a local hospital.
After a preliminary investigation, officers took custody of the suspect, Jehron Keys, 19,
Lawrenceville, GA. Keys was charged with Kidnapping, Child Molestation, Statutory Rape,
Reckless Driving, three counts of Hit and Run, Failure to Maintain Lane, and Unsafe Tires.
