Woman Arrested After Shooting Into Glynn County Home, Killing Man Inside

A woman is under arrest and charged with illegal firearm possession and a shooting that took place Sunday morning, June 30th. The incident occurred just before 5 a.m. on Sunday when Glynn County Police officers responded to a shots-fired call at Breckenridge Drive in Brunswick. Upon arrival, officers learned that shots had been fired into an occupied home and identified 28-year-old Taylor Steedley as the suspected shooter.

Detectives located Steedley at a home on Johnston Street. A search of her home and vehicle discovered a firearm, ammunition, and various controlled substances. Steedley was charged with four counts of Aggravated Assault, Possession of a Firearm During the Commission of Certain Crimes, Discharging a Firearm Near a Public Roadway, and additional charges are pending.

This incident was investigated by the GCPD Criminal Investigations and Uniformed Patrol Divisions, with the assistance of the Crime Scene Technicians.
