Crisp County Employee Resigns Amidst Arrest Warrant, Internal Investigation Initiated
On June 27, 2024, Ashley Arizmendi of Leslie, GA, a civilian employee of the Crisp County Animal Services Division, resigned after an arrest warrant issued by the Sumter County Sheriff’s Office was brought to the attention of the Crisp County Sheriff’s Office. Arizmendi was subsequently handed over to the Sumter County authorities.
Arizmendi has been charged with Cruelsty to Children-Criminal Negligence/Causing Excessive Physical or Mental Pain. This is a 2nd degree offense.
