Bodies of Missing Hinesville Firefighters Found in Tennessee
The Hinesville Police Department has released a public notice confirming the discovery of the bodies of missing persons Raegan Anderson and Chandler Kuhbander. Anderson’s vehicle was also found at the scene in Cocke County, TN. Tennessee authorities are currently investigating.
The Hinesville Police Department had issued an alert for Anderson and Kuhbander on June 26, 2024, after they were reported missing on June 24. Anderson’s vehicle, a black 2017 Ford Focus, was believed to be traveling towards Tennessee.
Surveillance footage from June 24 shows Kuhbander leaving Crunch Fitness at Oglethorpe Mall, but he did not return to his vehicle. Anderson’s car was seen in the parking lot around the same time. Officers found Anderson’s home unlocked and discovered a note indicating she might harm herself.
Anderson had been arrested a few days earlier in Chatham County for damaging Kuhbander’s vehicle after an incident at an Olive Garden in Pooler, Georgia. She confronted Kuhbander while he was on a date and subsequently vandalized his car. Kuhbander had requested a restraining order against her.
On June 25, 2024, Anderson and Kuhbander were spotted in Newport, TN, at around 7:30 pm.
Both were Liberty County firefighters.
The Cocke County Sheriff’s Office and the Tennessee Bureau of Investigations are leading the investigation into their deaths.
