Piedmont Athens Regional Hosts Event to Support Heart Health Awareness

The Piedmont Athens Regional Oconee Health Campus is gearing up for a lively beach-themed bingo party on Friday, July 19, from 5:30 to 7:30 p.m. The event, aimed at supporting the Northeast Georgia Heart Walk sponsored by the American Heart Association, promises a fun-filled evening for the community.

Attendees can participate in bingo games by purchasing cards for just $1 each. For those looking to enjoy a family meal while playing, Fox’s Pizza is offering a special bundle for $25, which includes a large one-topping pizza, a two-liter bottled beverage, and four bingo cards.

The Northeast Georgia Heart Walk, scheduled for October 17, is an annual event dedicated to raising awareness about heart disease prevention and supporting local education efforts in Athens and surrounding communities. This year, organizers hope to raise $100,000 to further their cause.
