Ocean Network Express Launches New WIN Service, Enhancing India-Georgia Ports Connection

Ocean Network Express (ONE) has launched its new WIN Service, with its maiden vessel, ONE Modern, docking at the Port of Savannah on Tuesday. This service marks a fresh link between India and Georgia Ports.

“This new offering from ONE underscores India’s growing prominence as a manufacturing center,” stated Griff Lynch, President and CEO of the Georgia Ports Authority (GPA). “With its vast population, expanding consumer base, and substantial infrastructure investments, India presents a significant trade opportunity via Savannah.”

Lynch highlighted that shipping goods from India to the U.S. East Coast through Savannah is more efficient compared to routes on the U.S. West Coast. Despite current diversions around Africa, GPA ensures deliveries to markets across the U.S. Southeast and Midwest three to five days faster than U.S. West Coast ports.

Dan Sheehy, ONE’s Senior Vice President of Product & Network, emphasized, “The WIN Service provides a weekly route from Nhava Sheva and Mundra to the U.S. East Coast. This new connection to the Port of Savannah demonstrates ONE’s commitment to this vital and expanding market, offering reliability and flexibility to our customers.”

The WIN Service includes a weekly itinerary from Bin Qasim, Hazira, Nhava Sheva, and Mundra to New York and Savannah. With this addition, Georgia Ports now host four direct weekly services from India, contributing to a total of eight services connecting Savannah to the Indian Subcontinent. The service operates with a fleet of nine vessels, all operated by ONE.
