14-Year-Old Suspect in Atlanta Shooting Turns Himself In

On June 21, 2024, at approximately 11:10 PM, Atlanta officers responded to a report of a person shot at 1993 Bent Creek Way SW in southwest Atlanta. Upon arrival, officers found an adult male with multiple gunshot wounds. Grady EMS arrived shortly after and transported the victim to the hospital for treatment.

During the investigation, officers discovered that the suspect had fled the scene on foot. A firearm believed to have been used in the shooting was recovered at the crime scene and submitted into evidence for processing.

A few hours later, the suspect, a 14-year-old male, turned himself in at the APD Public Safety Headquarters. He is currently in custody as the investigation continues.
