Carroll County Drug Bust Leads to Multiple Arrests and Seizures
The Carroll County Sheriff’s Office ACE Unit recently executed a search warrant on Clay Court in Villa Rica, targeting the home of Kerry Reid, 42, in a drug investigation. During the search, investigators confiscated significant quantities of marijuana, MDMA (ecstasy), Alprazolam pills (Xanax), Oxycodone pills, firearms, and cash.
Although Reid was not present during the search, Jessica Slocum, 42, was arrested on the scene for Possession With Intent To Distribute Marijuana. Arrest warrants were issued for Kerry Reid, who initially refused to surrender. He was later apprehended with the help of the U.S. Marshals Service Fugitive Task Force.
Kerry Reid is currently held at the Carroll County Jail, facing charges of Trafficking Amphetamine (MDMA), Possession With Intent to Distribute Alprazolam, Possession With Intent to Distribute Oxycodone, Possession With Intent to Distribute Marijuana, and Possession of Firearm By a Convicted Felon.
The ACE Unit, which stands for Aggressive Criminal Enforcement, comprises investigators from the Carroll County Sheriff’s Office, Carrollton Police Department, and the University of West Georgia Police Department.
