Woman Arrested for Armed Robbery and Kidnapping of Elderly Person, Stole Life Savings
Bibb County Sheriff’s Office Criminal Investigations Division, assisted by Atlanta Police Department, Georgia State Patrol SWAT Team, and ATF, executed a search warrant at a Godfrey Drive residence in Atlanta, leading to the arrest of a female suspect.
Allegedly, the suspect and her boyfriend traveled to Macon in a rented Ford Edge to defraud individuals for money, purportedly to cover expenses and indulge in shopping. The duo reportedly coerced a senior citizen at gunpoint at Kroger on Presidential Parkway, coercing her into her vehicle and driving her to a bank, where they took her life savings. Investigators recovered half of the stolen money, to be returned to the victim. Additionally, authorities discovered counterfeit currency and items from shopping sprees.
The female suspect faces charges of Armed Robbery and Kidnapping, with warrants issued for her boyfriend. The investigation is ongoing.
