Gwinnett County Fugitive Unit Apprehends Suspect Wanted for Multiple Felonies

On June 5th, investigators from the Gwinnett County Sheriff’s Office Fugitive Unit successfully apprehended a suspect wanted in connection with four outstanding felony warrants. The suspect, Alexis Coria, was being sought by the Gwinnett County Police Department for charges including Malice Murder, Felony Murder, and two counts of Aggravated Assault.

Working in collaboration with detectives from the Gwinnett County Police Department, Fugitive investigators conducted extensive surveillance and gathered substantial information to locate Coria. Their efforts paid off when on June 5th, Coria was spotted leaving an address in Dunwoody, Georgia, and entering the passenger side of a Honda Accord.

Continuing their vigilant monitoring, Fugitive investigators tracked Coria until he reached Acworth, Georgia. At that point, the Acworth Police Department was alerted, and a felony stop was conducted on the vehicle. Coria was apprehended without incident and transported to the Gwinnett County Jail.

The Gwinnett County Sheriff’s Office expressed gratitude to both the Gwinnett County Police Department and the Acworth Police Department for their collaboration and assistance in this case. The Sheriff’s Office assured the public that they would provide further updates on the case as necessary.
