Man Found Dead in Macon, Investigation Reveals Bicycle Fall from Embankment

The Bibb County Sheriff’s Office is investigating a fatal accident that occurred on May 30, 2024. A call was received by the Macon-Bibb Emergency-911 Center at 3:13 p.m. reporting an unresponsive male at a residence in the 3300 block of Pio Nono Circle.

Deputies arrived at the scene and found 54-year-old Lorenzo Veal unresponsive at the rear of the residence. Coroner Leon Jones pronounced Veal deceased at the scene. The next of kin has been notified.

Preliminary investigations suggest that Veal was riding his bicycle downhill when he fell from an embankment at the back of the residence.
